1. About CVDesk

CVDesk is an online talent database operated by CVDesk SA (Pty) Ltd that connects South African job seekers with verified recruiters. Candidates register and upload their CVs for free. Recruiters pay to unlock candidate profiles and download CVs.

2. Candidate terms

• You must be at least 18 years old to register as a candidate
• You must provide accurate and truthful information in your profile
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You may only upload CVs that belong to you
• You grant CVDesk permission to store and display your profile to verified recruiters
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us
• You may toggle your open to work status at any time to hide your profile from searches

3. Recruiter terms

• You must register with a valid company email address
• Your account must be verified before you can access candidate profiles
• You may only use CVDesk for legitimate recruitment purposes
• You may not resell, redistribute or share candidate information with third parties
• You may not use automated tools, bots or scrapers to access the platform
• You may not attempt to bypass the download rate limits
• You must download CVs one at a time — bulk downloading is prohibited
• Violations of these terms will result in permanent account suspension without refund

4. Prohibited conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on CVDesk:

• Creating fake or misleading profiles
• Attempting to access another user's account
• Using the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Harassing or contacting candidates outside of legitimate recruitment
• Scraping, crawling or automated data collection
• Attempting to circumvent security measures
• Uploading malicious files or content

5. Credits and payments

• Credits are purchased in advance and used to unlock candidate profiles
• Each credit unlocks one candidate profile for 90 days
• Credits do not expire but are non-transferable between accounts
• Unused credits may be refunded within 14 days of purchase provided no unlocks have been made
• Once a profile has been unlocked that credit is non-refundable
• All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable

6. Limitation of liability

CVDesk provides a platform to connect candidates and recruiters. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, the accuracy of candidate information, or the suitability of any candidate for any position. CVDesk is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of information obtained through the platform.

7. Termination

CVDesk reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms without notice and without refund. Candidates may delete their accounts at any time. Recruiter accounts found to be in violation of these terms will be permanently banned.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from the use of CVDesk will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
